LetsGoSouth has made some very important connections since its inception in May 2014. It’s link with LetsGoNorth is the main one, but there are many people in Spain who have helped it to grow. The Business Breakfast Club offers networking opportunities – the promoter tries to attend every month. Costa Women is the ultimate networking group and is the brainchild of Ali Meehan, an inveterate networker. Fiona Catchpowle provides does monthly interviews with members of Costa Women. This is how the promoter met Roz James, the face of Marbella Azul. When Roz was interviewed by Fiona, I thought “fantastic… the Marbella “hub””. LetsGoSouth is a hub of information specific to links between Spain and Scotland. You can read about them on Tina’s Freelance.

Scotland and Spain have been inextricably linked through history and culture since the Crusades.  The basis of the new tourism initiative and research is to identify parallells between Scotland and Spain and examine elements which can be used to encourage further cooperation between the countries.  This includes energy, sustainable tourism, eco tourism, socio economics and a closer examination of how both countries have developed since the 1970s. Join LetsGoSouth and get the benefits of this collaboration.
